Community Service

Outside of our own philanthropy, we support the local community through various volunteering and tabling events throughout the year, ranging from evening's with the kiddos at the Ronald McDonald House, tabling for National Disorder Awareness Week or Love Your Body Day, or spending a fall afternoon at the annual Hiram House Fall Festival. We also dedicate ourselves to participating in as many Greek and non-Greek philanthropy events as possible, giving us the opportunity to wholeheartedly support a wide range of amazing causes, as well as our fellow Greek brothers and sisters, and classmates!

A Message from Our
Director of Community Service

I love how we are able to build our sisterhood through service in Alpha Phi. Every member dedicates time each semester towards volunteering in the Cleveland community. Our sisters volunteer at numerous different organizations including the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, University Hospitals, CWRU EMS , Camp Kesem, PERIOD, and so much more! It is so rewarding to give back and stay engaged with our community together. While some events involve the whole chapter, like our philanthropy events for women’s heart health or the annual Fall Festival at Hiram House, it is amazing to see how our sisters grow through service in their own individual ways because each sister also has the opportunity to focus on causes that they are passionate about. Members of Alpha Phi are enthusiastic about service and we are able to develop our character, leadership skills, and friendships while we are volunteering in our community.

Love & Aoe,
Neha Mannem
